Volunteers are the HEART of our hospice organization. Volunteers provide invaluable services that bring out the glory of hospice care. Historically, the very first hospice programs were entirely made up of volunteers. We welcome compassionate people to provide empathy and support to families facing the prospect of losing a loved one to a terminal disease.

- Writing letter and mailers to friends or family
Bereavement support volunteer opportunities available at Sovereign Hospice:
- Phone calls to grieving families
- Sending care packages and bereavement mailers
- Serve as assistant to the Bereavement Coordinator
Administrative support volunteer opportunities available at Sovereign Hospice:
- Clerical support at the office
- Filing and copying
- Answering phones
- Make wellness check up phone calls
Special support volunteer opportunities are available for qualified individuals with prior experience:
- Scrap Booking
- Quilting
- Memorial Service Event Management
- Organizing staff and volunteer appreciation events
- Speaking engagements
- Health fairs
- Fund raising for indigent families
In the past effort from volunteers and donors have helped Sovereign Hospice meet various end of life planning needs of indigent patients who did not have means to cover funeral costs.
